                           बसेरा

मिशा आज सुबह से ही बागवानी के मूड में थी कि तभी मां  की आवाज आई। अरे! नहा लो नहीं तो पानी चला जाएगा। भई, ये लड़कियां तो मेरी एक नहीं सुनती। मिशा सारे गमलों की गुड़ाई करने में लग गई, फिर उसने उनमें खाद डाली जो उसने किचन वेस्ट से तैयार की थी। सब काम करके वो नहाने चल दी कि मां ने टोका, मैडम जी हो गया आपका काम, पर अब पानी नहीं है कैसे नहाओगी? मां," मैंने पहले ही दो बाल्टी पानी बाहर वाले बाथरूम में रख लिया था"।मिशा बोली।
"अरे! तुम मिशा की चिंता क्यों करती हो? वह बहुत स्मार्ट है और समझदार भी, अपना काम चला लेती है" उसके पापा बोले। मिशा, मां की तरफ देख हंसते हुए नहाने चली गई। फिर नहाकर फटाफट उसने पूजा की और दोपहर का खाना भी बना कर रख दिया। मां ने  रीमा को आवाज़ लगाई जो मिशा से बड़ी थी वह एकदम पढ़ाकू थी। ऐसी कोई किताब नहीं होगी जो उससे बची हो। वह सिविल सर्विसेज की तैयारी कर रही थी, और वो उसमें सफल भी हो जाएगी इसका पूरे घर को यकीन था। हुआ भी ऐसा ही रीमा दीदी जल्दी ही कलेक्टर बन गई। सबसे बड़ी दीदी की पापा ने जल्दी ही शादी कर दी थी, क्योंकि रिश्ता ही इतना अच्छा मिल गया था। मेरे प्यारे जीजा जी हिंदुस्तान पेट्रोलियम में एक ऊंचे ओहदे पर थे और मेरी सबसे बड़ी आशा दीदी  एक आर्टिस्ट थी, यानि की पेंटर भी कह सकते है आम भाषा में।
खैर ये तो मेरे घर का पुराण हो गया। अब बची मैं, सबसे छोटी और सबसे नटखट भी, और खुद अपने फैसले लेने वाली। अपने पापा की लाड़ली बेटी। हम तीनो बहनों को पापा ने बहुत प्यार से बड़ा किया था।

बस मां से ही डांट, झिड़कियां मिली, पर वो नारियल की तरह ऊपर से सख़्त और अंदर से नरम। मुझे इंग्लिश में एम. ए. करना था तो मैं अपने मामाजी के पास अपने शहर लखनऊ से दिल्ली आ गई। वैसे तो मेरी पोस्ट ग्रैजुएशन लखनऊ से भी हो जाती पर, मैंने दिल्ली से ही  पढ़ने की ज़िद की। उसकी एक वजह थी, वजह यह थी, कि भई हमको था, बचपन से ड्रामा करने का शौक और मम्मी को ये रास नहीं आता था, तो हम अपना शौक कैसे पूरा करते।
इसलिए पापा की चापलूसी करके, मैं  मामा जी के पास दिल्ली आ गई। मामा जी थे बहुत बड़े बिजनेसमैन तो उनकी जान-पहचान से हमको एन.एस.डी में दाखिला मिल गया, और दिल्ली के मशहूर गार्गी कॉलेज में  हमें एम.ए. दाखिला मिल गया तो, ज़िन्दगी बड़ी रफ्तार से आगे बढ़ती जा रही थी। मामाजी ने हमसे सीधा-सीधा पहले ही पूछ लिया था " मिशा बेटा तुम घर पर रहोगी या हॉस्टल में"। हमने भी कह दिया कि हॉस्टल में। एक तो मामाजी के घर में इस समय उनकी पत्नी के आलावा कोई था नहीं। एक बेटा है वो अमेरिका में रहता है अपने बीबी-बच्चों के साथ। मामीजी मॉडर्न ज़माने की नारी, वो पार्टियों में व्यस्त रहती थी तो घर पर क्या हम दीवारों से सिर मारते। असली बात ये भी थी कि हम भी हॉस्टल के मजे लेना चाहते थे, होस्टल की जिंदगी भी मजेदार होती, हर छात्र की अलग सोच एक अपनी अलग दुनिया।
खैर, ये है मिशा मजेदार, चुलबुली, बिंदास लड़की, पर जीवन में कभी-कभी कुछ घटनाएं जीवन की दिशा ही बदल देती हैं।
आज मिशा एक मशहूर वकील है कहां उसको थियटर इतना ज्यादा पसंद था और कहां आज वह अधिकतर कोर्ट रूम में ही रहती है।
मिशा आज कोर्ट से जल्दी ही घर आ गई और आते ही उसने रानी से अपने बेटे आदित्य के बारे पूछा। जिसे वह प्यार से आदि कहती है। रानी! रानी! जी दीदी बोलिए। "रानी तुम कब से ऊंचा सुनने लगी, मैंने तुम्हें कितनी आवाजें दी पर तुमने सुना ही नहीं, ये बताओ आदि कहां है? "कहां होंगे वहीं अपने कमरे में  भगवान को चिट्ठी लिख रहे हैं कि पापा को भेज दो जल्दी "। रानी  हंसते हुए बोली। अच्छा तू जा मेरे लिए चाय बना ला। मिशा थोड़ी देर बाद आदि के पास जाती है और बोलती है आदि मेरे प्यारा बच्चा, मेरा क्यूट बेबी क्या कर रहा है? आदि, मां को देखते ही उससे लिपट जाता है और बहुत खुश हो जाता है।"मेरा प्यारा बेटा क्या कर रहा था"? मम्मा मैं, न भगवान को चिट्ठी लिख रहा था कि पापा को जल्दी से भेज दो। आदि मिस यू लॉट पापा। ओह! ये बात है ठीक है, आप मुझे दो मैं आपका ये लेटर पोस्ट कर दूंगी ओके। अब बताओ आज स्कूल में क्या किया आपने। आदि अपनी सारी कहानी सुनाता है और बातें करता- करता सो जाता है।
मिशा भी थोड़ा लेट जाती है और सोचने लगती है कि आदि को लेकर, उसका निर्णय ठीक था या नहीं, क्या वो सारी खुशियां आदि को दे पाएगी जिनका वो हकदार है। आदि अभी 5 साल का है अभी तो सारी ज़िन्दगी पड़ी है।
क्या मेरा फैसला ठीक था उन हालातों में, मिशा सोच में पड़ जाती है तभी डोर बेल बजती है। रानी मिशा की मेड गेट खोलती है सामने उसके पापा खड़े होते हैं मिशा उनको देख कर बहुत खुश हो जाती है। पापा हाल चाल पूछते हैं आदि के बारे में पूछते हैं। मिशा कहती है "पापा सब ठीक है और आदि भी ठीक है।"
आप बताओ "आप ठीक हैं आपका बी.पी. ठीक है दवाई टाइम से ले रहे हैं आप।" हां,  मिशा सब ठीक है, पर "मैं तो तुम्हे समझाते हुए थक गया बेटा, तुम मेरी बात नहीं मानती हो, बड़ी हो गई हो अब अपनी मनमानी कर सकती हो"। नहीं पापा "मैं आपको बहुत प्यार करती हूं, पर मैं शादी कैसे कर लूं? आदि भी है न, अभी उसके बारे में ही सोचती रहती हूं, अपने बारे में सोचने का समय कहां है?"
"अरे! तो आदि के बारे में सोचो किसने मना किया है, पर एक बार आशुतोष से मिल तो लो, वो बहुत अच्छा लड़का है तुम्हें बहुत पसंद भी करता है और आदि को भी पसंद करता है, फिर क्या परेशानी है और बेटा मेरा अनुभव कहता है कि वो एक अच्छा पति साबित होगा"। हां, पापा सब ठीक है पर आदि का सच सबको नहीं बता सकती मैं।
ये बातें तो होती रहेंगी पापा, आप चाय पियो और बताओ मम्मी कैसी है? ठीक हैं न। मिशा ने बात को टाल दिया। पापा एक दो दिन उसके पास रुककर लखनऊ चले गए।
मिशा आशुतोष से शादी कर ले ये उसके लिए बहुत मुश्किल था अभी, क्योंकि नीलेश को वह कभी भूल नहीं पाएगी, निवेश उसके जीवन की वह सच्चाई है जिसे भुला पाना नामुमकिन है। वकील होने कारण वह बहुत व्यस्त रहती थी। रानी उसकी मेड ही आदि को अधिकतर संभालती थी।
आज, आदि की तबीयत ठीक नहीं है उसको तेज़ बुखार था। मिशा ने आज घर में ही रहने का फैसला किया। उसने अपने काम से छुट्टी भी ले ली, वह आदि के पास ही लेट गई और उसको प्यार करने लगी। तभी आदि बोलता है "मम्मी आप मेरे पास क्यों नहीं रहते हो,आप पूरा दिन घर में रहा करो न, मम्मी अगर पापा हमारे साथ होते तो आप बाहर नहीं जाते न। "क्यों ऐसा क्यों? मिशा ने पूछा। वो चिंटू की मम्मी को देखो वो हमेशा चिंटू के साथ रहती है घर पर, और उसके पापा बाहर जाते है"।
मिशा बोलती है। अच्छा, "आदि आपको पापा क्यों चाहिए मम्मी तो है न आपके पास, क्या मैं आपको प्यार नहीं करती"? आप तो सबसे अच्छी मम्मी हो, पर सबके पापा होते हैं मेरे क्यों नहीं हैं? मिशा ने बातें करते-करते उसको सुला दिया और खुद नहाने चली गई दिल्ली में गर्मी भी तो बहुत होती है।
नहाकर उसने अपने लिए चाय बनाई और आदि के पास ही कुर्सी डालकर बालकनी के बाहर के नज़ारे देखने लगी। पतझड़ का मौसम था पत्ते ही पत्ते गिरते दिखाई दे रहे थे। वो भी अतीत में खो गई और खुद को एक भटकता हुआ पत्ता समझने लगी, जो 6 साल पहले नीलेश से ऐसे बिछड़ा कि दुबारा कभी पेड़ पर नहीं लग सका। आदि पापा-पापा की रात-दिन लगाए रहता है उसको क्या बताऊं मैं, कि उसकी तो मां भी अपनी नहीं है। क्या आदि को कभी उसका सच बता पाऊंगी? नहीं-नहीं बहुत घिनौना सच है अंधकार में डूबा हुआ।
ये बात  उस समय की है जब मिशा ने अपना इंग्लिश एम. ए. पूरा किया था। नीलेश लख़नऊ में ही रहता था। वह डॉक्टरी की तैयारी कर रहा था। लखनऊ के बहुत बड़े रईस परिवार का लड़का था नीलेश, पर उतना ही जमीन से जुड़ा हुआ। घमंड तो नाम का नहीं था उसमें। बहुत ही सभ्य, पढ़ाई में अव्वल, जिससे भी मिलता वो उसका मुरीद हो जाता, बस वह अपने घर से परेशान था, इकलौता था वह। पापा अपने बिज़नस में व्यस्त रहते और मां सोशल वर्कर के काम में। बस एक दादी ही थी जो उसको सम्हालती थी। उसे समझती थी। निशा के दोस्त से कुछ अघिक ही था वो उसके लिए या यूं कह लो एक बहुत खास दोस्त। दोनों बचपन के दोस्त थे। आपस में बहुत प्यार करते थे। एक उसने  दिन मिशा से कहा "कि तुम वकालत कर लो"। मिशा ने एकदम हैरान होकर बोला "क्यों ऐसा क्यों बोला तुमने"। नीलेश ने कहा कि मुझे दिन- रात इतने भाषण देती हो, कि ये मत करो, वो मत करो, इन दोस्तों के साथ मत घूमों, गुस्सा मत करो । वकालत कर लोगी तो ये हुनर काम आयेगा। अच्छा, तो मै क्या ग़लत बोलती हूं नीलेश, तुम जब गुस्सा होते हो, तो तुम कुछ और ही बन जाते हो। तब मुझे ही तुमसे डर लगने लगता है और तुम्हारे ये दोस्त सिर्फ पैसे के लिए है तुम्हारे साथ। क्या- क्या नहीं करते ये शराब, सिगरेट हर तरह का नशा करते हैं और तुम इनके लिए कुछ भी करने को तैयार हो जाते हो। कहां तुम इतने काबिल,पढ़े -लिखे और कहां ये आवारा। कुछ तो सोचो।
यार मिशा, "तुम कुछ भी बोलो मुझे , पर मेरे दोस्तों को गंदा मत बोलना, मुझे तुम्हारी यही बात बिल्कुल नही पसंद।"...... "देखना एक दिन यही तुम्हारे दोस्त तुम्हे बरबाद कर देंगे, तब मेरे पास मत आना, मैं तुम्हारी एक भी बात नहीं सुनूंगी,समझे।"  मिशा गुस्से से जाने लगती है। तभी नीलेश उसका हाथ पकड़ कर अपनी तरफ खींच लेता है और उसे अपने सीने से लगा लेता है और उसके बालों से खेलने लगता है  मिशा मोम की तरह उसकी बाहों में पिघलने लगती है, उसकी धडकनें बढ़ने लगती हैं। फिर अचानक वह अपने को संभालती है। नीलेश कहता है "मिशा क्यों ना हम शादी कर ले, हम दोनों के माता-पिता तो कब से तैयार हैं"।
हां, पर पहले तुम अपनी डॉक्टरी तो पूरी कर लो, दो साल ही तो रह गए हैं। इससे पहले कोई शादी की बात नहीं। ठीक है पर एक शर्त पर, "वो क्या "? मिशा ने पूछा। यही कि तुम वकालत करोगी। अरे! यार तुम्हारी सुई वकालत पर ही क्यों अटक गई है? मुझे नहीं पता तुम पहले हां करो, नहीं तो मै भी डॉक्टरी छोड़ दूंगा। "अच्छा, बाबा ओके करूंगी अब खुश"।
नीलेश में कुछ बातें बहुत ग़लत भी थी वह ज़िद्दी और गुस्से वाला बहुत था। जल्दी ही वह दिन भी आ गया नीलेश ने डॉक्टरी पूरी कर ली वह हार्ट सर्जन बन गया। जिस दिन उसकी डॉक्टरी पूरी हुई उसी दिन हम दोनों की सगाई हो गई। वो तो शादी के लिए ही अड़ गया था। उसकी मां ने समझाया 'कि पहले अच्छी तरह से सेट हो जाओ, फिर शादी कर लेना मिशा कहां भागी जा रही है? और अभी तो मिशा की वकालत भी बाकी है'। नीलेश लखनऊ में रह कर अपनी प्रैक्टिस करता रहा और मैं दिल्ली में रहकर अपनी वकालत करती रही। नीलेश के कारण मेरा थिएटर रह गया क्योंकि मुझे टाइम ही नहीं मिलता था अपनी पढ़ाई से। ऐसे ही एक साल निकल गया। इस बीच एक-दो बार ही नीलेश से मेरी बात हुई थी और जब भी बात हुई  वह मुझे परेशान ही दिखाई दिया था,  क्योंकि वह हमेशा अपने माता-पिता की इगो का शिकार बनता आ रहा था बचपन से। दोनों इतना लड़ते थे कि सामने बच्चा है ये भी नहीं देखते थे। नीलेश को तो उसकी दादी ने ही बचपन से सम्हाला था, पर अब दादी भी गुजर गई । अब नीलेश बिल्कुल अकेला पड़ गया था। इस समय उसको मेरी बहुत ज्यादा जरूरत थी मेरे न होने के कारण, अब अपने दोस्तों में ज्यादा रहने लगा था।
मेरी वकालत पूरी होने में अभी एक साल बाकी था। मेरे मम्मी पापा ने बताया कि नीलेश तुमको बहुत याद करता है तुम दोनों शादी कर लो वकालत बाद में भी हो जाएगी। मैंने कहा ठीक है आप देख लो जैसा ठीक लगे आपको। पर नीलेश की दादी के गुजर जाने कारण हमारी शादी एक साल के लिए टल गई। अब मैं फिर अपनी पढ़ाई में व्यस्त हो गई कि एक दिन अचानक मम्मी और पापा दिल्ली आ गए और मम्मी ने मुझे एकांत में बताया कि नीलेश को पुलिस पकड़ कर ले गई उसने तुम्हारी सहेली जूही का रेप कर दिया है। ये सुनकर मैं एकदम भड़क गई "मम्मी आपका दिमाग खराब हो गया है क्या? कैसी बहकी-बहकी बातें कर रही हो आप। वह नीलेश है मां कोई आवारा लड़का नहीं जो ऐसा काम करेगा। कुछ गलत सुना है आपने। "अरे! मेरी बच्ची काश ये ग़लत ही होता पर तेरा भाग्य फूट गया, ये सच है। अब तेरा क्या होगा? माँ रोने लगी।  मिशा तो सन्न होकर ज़मीन पर धम्म से बैठ गई उसकी आंखों के आगे अंधेरा छा गया, सब कुछ अंधकारमय लग रहा था। तभी उसके पापा ने उसको हिलाया पर वो अचेत हो गई। तीन दिन बाद उसको होश आया डॉक्टर ने कहा कि उसको कुछ ऐसा नहीं कहना जिससे इसको टेंशन हो, नहीं तो ये कोमा में चली जाएगी, इनको बहुत गहरा धक्का  लगा है। पापा मिशा के साथ  वही दिल्ली में रहे। मिशा ने होश में आते ही बहुत ज़िद की नीलेश से मिलने की, पर उसके माता-पिता ने कहा कि नीलेश के माता पिता ने बताया कि वह खुद तुमसे अभी बात नहीं करना चाहता, पर मिशा लगातार कोशिश करती रही पर वह नीलेश से नहीं मिल पाई। तीन चार महीने बाद जब वह नहीं मानी और अपनी जान देने की धमकी दी तो उसके पिता उसको लखनऊ ले गए। वो फौरन नीलेश के घर गई। पर उसकी कोठी तो वीरान पड़ी थी। वहां कोई नहीं था।
मिशा की मां ने बताया कि वो सब इंग्लैंड चले गए। नीलेश के पापा ने पानी की तरह पैसा बहाकर उसको बचा लिया।
"तो क्या मां वो लोग आपसे भी नहीं मिले?" हम तो तेरे पास दिल्ली में थे।" जब मैं यहां दिल्ली से  वापस लखनऊ आई तो यहां कोई नहीं था।" मां ने बोला। .......मिशा को खुद को संभालने में बहुत समय लगा , उस बीच उसने बहुत कोशिश की, कि किसी तरह नीलेश की कहीं से कोई खबर मिल जाए। पर उसके माता-पिता उसको कहां, किस देश,किस शहर में ले गए कुछ पता नहीं चला।
मां को भी सही नहीं पता था कि वह इंग्लैंड में  या कहीं और। मैं उस समय बहुत उदास रहती थी। पापा मुझे घर ले आए, लख़नऊ आकर मुझे नीलेश की बहुत याद आती थी, हर समय उसका चेहरा मेरी आंखो के आगे घूमता रहता ऐसा लगता कि वह मुझे बुला रहा है। वह उस दिन को बहुत कोसती है जब वह अपनी ज़िद में पढ़ाई करने दिल्ली चली गई थी। न वो जाती और न नीलेश अकेला होता, न ही इतनी बड़ी गलती उससे होती। कुछ दिन बाद वह अपनी सहेली के यहां जाती है जिसके साथ ये दर्दनाक घटना घटी थी। उसके घर पर तो ताला था। अब मै कहां तलाश करूं उसको ये समझ नहीं आ रहा था? मिशा ने अपनी और दोस्तों से पूछा तो, एक ने बताया कि जूही के साथ बहुत बुरा हुआ, वह तो अपने घर भी नहीं आई, उसकी बहन ने ही उसके माता-पिता  को बताया था,  क्योंकि वह अपनी बहन के पास चली गई थी।
जूही वह मेरी बहुत पक्की सहेली थी, जिसके साथ इतना सब, इतना गलत घटा था, पर नीलेश तो उसको अच्छी तरह जानता था उसे अपनी बहन की तरह मानता था फिर ऐसा क्या हुआ होगा? मिशा और परेशान हो गई।
जूही और मैंने साथ-साथ स्कूल कॉलेज की पढ़ाई की। पर वो शुरू से थोड़ी तेज़ मिजाज थी और मनमौजी थी। यानि घूमना फिरना एशो आराम की जिंदगी उसको बहुत पसंद थी। लड़कों से भी उसकी बहुत दोस्ती रहती थी। मैं हमेशा उसको बोलती थी "कि तुझे डर नहीं लगता कौन लड़का कैसा है? कोई तेरा गलत फायदा भी तो उठा सकता है"। वो हंस कर कहती, " मरना है क्या उसको जो मुझसे पंगे लेगा"। फिर क्यों हुआ ऐसा उसके साथ ये मुझे जानना था। मैंने बहुत तलाश किया उसे, पर उसकी भी कोई खबर नहीं मिली मुझे। खैर मैं भी थक हार कर दिल्ली आ गई और अपने काम में मन लगाने की कोशिश की। धीरे-धीरे मेरी  वकालत चल निकली। तभी एक दिन  अचानक मेरे पापा घर आ गए  सुबह-सुबह,  और उनके साथ जूही को देखकर मैं एकदम हैरान रह गई थी, उससे कुछ पूछती पर उसकी हालत बहुत खराब थी। मैं उसको देख कर हक्की बक्की रह गई क्योंकि वह प्रगनेंट थी, मैंने उसको बिठाया और चाय बनाकर दी। थोड़ी देर बाद वह सोने चली गई। ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे महीनों से वह बीमार हो। फिर पापा ने अलग कमरे में ले जाकर बताया की उनको ये कहां और कैसे मिली?
पापा रीमा दीदी के पास गए थे, कोलकात्ता। वहीं स्टेशन पर ये बैठी हुई मिली  पापा इसको यहां ले आए मेरे पास, क्योंकि अगर ये लखनऊ जाती तो इसकी मां भगा देती इसे। इसके माता-पिता के लिए तो ये बहुत पहले ही मर चुकी थी।
जब जूही उठी तो मैंने उसको नहलाया और अपने कपड़े पहनाए फिर खाना खिलाया। जब वह थोड़ी नॉर्मल हुई तो मैंने उसका हाल पूछा तो वह माशा से लिपट कर फफक- सबक कर रोने लगी। उसने बताया कि उसके लालच ने उसको बर्बाद कर दिया, इसमें किसी की कोई गलती नहीं थी। जूही बोली "कि मेरी बर्बादी तो उसी दिन से शुरू हो गई थी जब मैं लिविंग रिलेशन में नीलेश के दोस्त मोहित के साथ रहने चली गई। उसने मुझे बहुत सपने दिखाए थे। शादी करूंगा, कहीं विदेश में जाकर बस जाएंगे। मैं इन सबके लालच में  आ गई थी।
एक दिन अचानक सब दोस्तों को लेकर रूम पर आ धमका और मुझे बोला खाना बनाकर चली जाओ अपनी किसी  सहेली के घर, हम सब आज यहां दोस्त यहां पार्टी करेंगे। "मैंने कहा मैं कहां जाऊं इतनी रात को?" तेरा दिमाग तो ठीक है न। पता है    रात के 10 बज रहे हैं।"  उसने कहा कि फिर तू दूसरे कमरे में जाकर अपना कमरा लॉक करके सो जा और सुबह ही बाहर आना, हम सबको आकर परेशान मत करना। मुझे उस समय उस पर बहुत गुस्सा आ रहा था, मन कर रहा था कि इसका सर फोड़ दूं। खैर मै गुस्से में अपना खाना लेकर चली गई और रूम भी लॉक कर लिया। मुझे ज्यादा कुछ अजीब नहीं लगा क्यों ये चार दोस्त ही थे और अक्सर मोहित के साथ घर आ जाते थे, मेरे साथ सबका  व्यवहार बहुत अच्छा था ।कभी भी किसी दोस्त  ने मुझे कुछ नहीं कहा बल्कि सब मोहित को डांटते थे कि घर की जगह कहीं और पार्टी कर लेते हैं पर मोहित ही नहीं मानता था।  वो लोग कब पार्टी करके सोए या क्या किया मुझे कुछ भी नहीं पता? मैं तो खाना खाकर सो भी गई थी।
करीब रात के 3:00 बजे अचानक नीलेश के चीखने की आवाज़ आई तो मै डर गई। मैंने सोचा कि सब में झगड़ा तो नहीं हो गया। मैंने धीरे से अपने रूम का गेट खोला और बाहर गई तो देखा की सारे दोस्त नशे में डूबे हुए मदहोश पड़े थे और नीलेश बहुत बैचैन हो रहा था। वह पसीने में तर था। मैंने उसको पानी दिया पर वह बहुत बेकाबू था जैसे की अपने होश में ही नहीं था, इधर उधर बस घूम रहा था, कभी अपने बालों को खींचता, तो कभी तेज़ तेज़ चिल्लाता। मैंने मोहित और सबको उठाने की बहुत कोशिश की, पर सब बेकार वो सब एकदम बेहोश थे। अचानक निवेश को न जाने उसे क्या हुआ, उसने मुझे कसकर पकड़ लिया, मैं  बहुत चिल्लाई, पर उसकी मजबूत गिरफ्त से नहीं छूट पाई और उसने  मेरा रेप कर दिया।

मिशा रात-दिन सोचती रही  कि किसकी गलती है, किसको दोष दे? वो क्या करे, नीलेश को कहां तलाश करे? वो तीन-चार दिन के लिए लखनऊ चली गई। वहां उसने नीलेश के दोस्तों को खोजा, उनके घर गई तो पता चला कि उस रात ही वो तीनों दोस्त उस कमरे में  मरे मिले थे और नीलेश बेहोश पड़ा था। पुलिस ने तीनों का पोस्टमार्टम करके बताया कि तीनों के शरीर में बहुत ही अधिक मात्रा में ड्रग्स मिली थी जो उनकी मृत्यु का कारण बनी। नीलेश को भी ड्रग्स  दिया गया था, पर किसी कारणवश वह बच गया। मिशा को नीलेश पर दया और गुस्सा दोनों ही आ रहा था, दया इसलिए कि नीलेश ने तो जीवन में कभी कोई नशा किया ही नहीं। उसको जबरदस्ती ड्रग्स दी गई होगी और गुस्सा इसलिए कि इन्हीं दोस्तों, गलत संगति के कारण वह बर्बाद हो गया। इसी कारण से वह निलेश को इनसे दूर रहने के लिए बोलती, पर उसने कभी उसकी बात नहीं मानी।
मिशा वहां से पुलिस स्टेशन गई। पुलिस से उसने सब पूछा पुलिस से जान-पहचान के कारण उसको सारी रिपोर्ट दिखा दी गई। उसने पूछा कि इन चारों के आलावा और कोई भी था वहां पुलिस ने कहा  कि जिस हालत में नीलेश मिला था बिना कपड़ों के तो ऐसा लगता है या तो उसके साथ कुछ हुआ था या उसने किसी के साथ कुछ किया था क्योंकि पड़ोसियों ने बताया कि किसी लड़की के चीखने की  आवाजें आ रही थी सुबह 4:00 बजे। पर हमें कोई लड़की नहीं मिली वहां। हां, कुछ कपड़े मिले थे जो लड़की के थे। पर किसी को पता नहीं चला कि वो लड़की कहां गई? हमने बहुत खोजा था उसको।
